Program Abstract

This module discusses the safety and traffic incident management challenges of vehicle fires and options for responding to these challenges.Topics covered include PPE, blocking, securing vehicles, hazard assessment, suppression, flying debris, explosion hazard, spills, smoke obscuration, overhaul, vehicle removal, fatalities, and termination.Please note that this module is focused on safety aspects and thus a full discussion of how to suppress a vehicle fire is not included.
