Program Abstract

Increasingly, fire departments are assuming the responsibility of providing temporary traffic control (TTC) at emergency scenes on the roadway because their personnel are often at risk. This program raises awareness on how fire department-based vehicles can be outfitted for temporary traffic control at incident scenes, including special purpose vehicles and modifications to vehicles used for fire suppression.
