Program Abstract

After Action Review (AAR) is one of the most powerful lessons learned and continuous improvement tools that organizations who respond to roadway incidents have. AAR allows participating personnel to debrief what went well and what could be improved based on their experience of a roadway incident response, then take the collective wisdom from that experience and apply it to improve response moving forward. This module is a roadmap for how to implement meaningful after action reviews for roadway incident responses, from the rationale to the process to the implementation of identified improvements.
