Program Abstract

NFPA 1550: Standard for Emergency Responder Health and Safety has a chapter on Traffic Incident Management. This chapter sets requirements for response to emergency operations at traffic incidents. Specific requirements cover the need for SOPs, apparatus placement (including as a blocking device), warning devices, high visibility apparel, and traffic control training. This module highlights these requirements and points departments to resources that will help them meet the requirements of the standard.
